CCWA taking action with WANFA

The West Australia Nuclear Free Alliance had their first meeting in Kalgoorlie in 2010. It came after a small group of people went to the Australia Nuclear Free Alliance Meeting in Quorn SA in 2009. ANFA and WANFA are where Indigenous people and green groups come together to talk about the nuclear industry, find common issues and support each other in the struggle against the imposition of uranium mines and radioactive waste dumps on country.

The WANFA group has set up a committee with monthly phone link ups. Within WANFA there are Indigenous people from the Kimberley’s, Goldfields, South West and the Gascoyne and the Pilbara.
