Published quarterly by the Conservation Council of WA, The Greener Times features environmental news from around the state, reports on the activities of the Conservation Council of WA and our 100 plus member groups plus much more.
First published in 1990, The Greener Times is distributed for 3 months to over 5,000 people who are environmentally concerned and financially committed to a more sustainable future for WA. It is circulated through workplaces, government departments, universities, schools, libraries and environment centres around WA. Each issue is packed with up-to-date information on the key environmental issues in WA, including:
- Save Our Marine Life
- Climate change
- Keep WA Uranium Free
Striking in full colour, The Greener Times uses greenhouse friendly ENVI carbon neutral paper and is printed using vegetable inks with every effort made to minimise the waste, transport and energy in the production of each issue.
Latest issue - Spring 2012
In 1967 a small collection of concerned West Australians came together, each representing a local community group dedicated to its own personal slice of WA. Although they came from different backgrounds, every group represented at that first meeting was united.
In this Greener Times we will begin by looking back on some of the people, places and campaigns that forged the first 45 years of CCWA, as well as inspect some of the new threats that are only just beginning to emerge.
