Our Successes

Our great wins have not come easily

Often it was the tireless work of CCWA staff, our member groups and volunteers that dragged government and industry into action on protecting such icons as Ningaloo Reef, creating 34 new National Parks after the  2001 state election and keeping WA Nuclear Free.

Our work is only just beginning

Western Australia is undergoing a massive industrialisation push with the expansion of the mining industry, proposed industrialisation of the Kimberley region, ever increasing urban sprawl and let's not forget proposed oil rigs and coal mines near Margaret River.

This is what fires us up at CCWA to keep doing what we do, being a voice for the environment and working with our member groups and the wider community to stand up for the environment. From the rugged far north of the Kimberley to the green forested realms of the south west and all the beautiful places in between - all these unique WA landscapes deserve our protection.

We cannot do this alone

Become a member of CCWA, volunteer with us and most importantly get active in your community.
